Description

The Battery Management Control Systems Verification Engineer will work with battery management system (BMS) hardware and software for use in electrified vehicle powertrains.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing requirements for hardware and software
  • Developing and executing test plans
  • Developing and tracking supplier and OEM validation and verification plans
  • Troubleshooting issues and testing systems on benches and in vehicles

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, Systems or Chemical Engineering, or a Physics degree
  • Experience with vehicle testing, control module validation, or automotive requirements verification
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or advanced degree in the aforementioned educational disciplines
  • Lithium ion battery experience
  • 2 years of engineering experience with vehicle testing, control module validation, or automotive requirements verification
  • 2 years of prior experience with development and testing of battery systems in hybrid and/or electric vehicles
  • Prior experience with software and hardware development and diagnostics tools (e.g., HIL testers, CANalyzer, OBDII, INCA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink
  • Prior experience with electrical/electronic components used in BMS hardware
