Description

The Battery Management System Controls Verification Engineer will work with battery management system (BMS) hardware and software for use in electrified vehicle powertrains.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing requirements for hardware and software
  • Developing and executing test plans
  • Developing and tracking supplier and OEM validation and verification plans
  • Troubleshooting issues and testing systems on benches and in vehicles

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control or System Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Physics or another closely related degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with vehicle testing, control module validation or automotive requirements verification
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or another advanced degree in the aforementioned educational disciplines
  • 2 years of experience with development and testing of battery systems in hybrid and/or electric vehicles
  • Lithium ion battery experience
  • Prior experience with software and hardware development and diagnostics tools (e.g., HIL testers, CANalyzer, INCA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink
  • Prior experience with electrical/electronic components used in BMS hardware
