James Greenberger
Executive Director
Jim Greenberger has served as Executive Director of NAATBatt International since co-founding the organization in 2008. He was previously a partner in the Chicago office of the law firm of Reed Smith LLP, where he his practice concentrated in commercial finance, venture capital and cleantech. He received his B.A. from Haverford College and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
Paula Szyper
Chief Operating Officer
Paula Szyper bringing deep expertise in operational excellence, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement across mission-driven organizations. A results-driven senior executive and trusted advisor to boards and executive leadership, she is known for driving transformation, strengthening organizational performance, and delivering high-impact programs through disciplined financial management, innovation, and inclusive leadership. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Patty Anderson
Community Coordinator
Patty Anderson, a Certified Association Executive, has dedicated her career to association management, including serving as a co-owner of the Pacific Northwest’s first accredited association management company. She’s directed numerous trade associations and professional societies. A past Washington Society for Association Excellence “Executive of the Year”, Patty also holds a certificate from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institutes for Organization Management and has a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound.
Jill Pestana
Director of Research and Programming
Jill Pestana is a battery scientist with 15 years of experience and 14 patents. As CEO of Pestana Solutions, she provides technical and business development consulting to companies from startups to Fortune 10s. She also educates 250,000+ people through her YouTube channel and Nanoverse Battery Courses.
Cheryl Anderson
Finance Director
Cheryl Anderson launched her career in marketing and public relations with Revlon, where she became the youngest Regional Supervisor. She then joined a full-service CPA firm and became the firm’s COO Partner before starting her own advisory firm. In 2015, Cheryl founded Executive Accounting Solutions to provide CFO advisory services to companies that require financial expertise but do not need a full-time CFO. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Michigan State University and an MBA from Indiana University.
Vivian Yu
Newsletter Editor
Vivian Yu has curated the newsletter since its inception in 2010. She spent 13 years in public and corporate accounting, beginning her career at BDO and later holding senior roles in the private sector. Her analytical experience informs her editorial work. She holds a B.S. degree in Accounting and International Business from NYU and is an inactive CPA.
